The astronomical seeing from Nelson was excellent last night, so I got the planetary rig setup and imaged Saturn early in the evening and then Jupiter around midnight. Jupiter was a little low to get perfect images. These were imaged using “lucky imaging” where I capture video at around 100 frames per second and used planetary software to select the best frames and stack together. Here is a composite of Jupiter and several of its moons, with an image of Saturn, also collect last night, superimposed in the background.
