Star Party at Dark Sky Park

We will be celebrating International Dark sky week with the opening of the season viewing for 2025 at Wai-iti International Dark Sky Park on April Saturday 26^th 

Times-7 to 10pm. We require clear skies, so check the sky and our communications pages for cancellations before you come. Please park in the river side park area and walk into the viewing area so your head ligts do upset the viewing.

Note the following hazards: with the wet weather, there are ruts, mud and puddles at the entry to the viewing area and in the parking area. Please be aware of the uneven ground as well. Gumboots and warm socks may be a plan.

For non-members, Koha is $5.00 per-person or $10.00 for a family.

Dress warm, and please use a red light if you can for guidance into the viewing area. If you don’t have a red light, keep the torch light on the ground directly in front of you or your group.
