Hamish made me aware today that there is currently a Nova visible in the constellation of Lupus.
I had a search on one of the images I collected on Saturday evening at Lake Rotoiti and it is visible. I have plate solved the image in Pixinsight and then annotated constellation lines and bright named stars.
This Nova is visible in binoculars. The images below, where I have shaded Lupus on the wide angled image and identified the Nova on the zoomed in image, may be of use to locate it should you wish to observe it.
